When there are a large number of shipments, all packages or luggage are loaded into large containers that can be easily loaded into aircraft or other vehicles. Containers are tracked while moving around the network, which updates the tracking of the elements it contains. If an item is not scanned when it enters a container, it will not be indicated as having left, even if it has left the storage facilty. However, when the elements are unloaded at the next sorting facility, each element is analyzed again and must reappear in the follow-up.
Generally, the problem is solved within 24 to 48 hours. If the tracking does not update, the shipment may be in transit undigitised or the label may be damaged. If the follow-up does not confirm that all parts have been delivered, we will contact you to confirm if all parts have been received and, if not, an investigation will be opened. If you have any questions about the location of an item, please do not hesitate to contact the EELWAY team.
